Child Logo

The Concordia Student Union (CSU), is an association that serves undergraduate students, defends their rights, and acts as the highest representative student body within Concordia University.

Often during their events they offer services for parents by either making the event child friendly or by providing childcare. The goal for this project was to design two similar logos that would represent “Child friendly” and “Childcare Offered” that event organizers can either add to the footer of their posters or stamp when applicable.

Child Friendly Branding Guidelines

Child Friendly

The Child Friendly logo is made out of a cute big face of a child smiling. The inspiration came from pictograms found at the entrance of public areas to inform what is allowed or not within the premises. The smile symbolizes that children are allowed. To add cuteness, a single strand of hair was added.

ChildCare Offered

To compliment the Child Friendly logo, a second smiling face was added next to a smaller copy of the child’s head, from the “Child Friendly” logo, to represent a childcare-worker. The tilted face of the worker towards the child represents affection, attention, and caring.

The font used for both logos is Futura Std - Heavy. It brings them together and makes them inviting, cute, and bold.
